Speedtest by ookla for apple tv12/3/2023 ![]() In the meanwhile I noticed that by using the mobile hotspot from a samsung the wifi sometimes works. Since I am a computer engineer I started looking at logs, in particular the kernel logs and the wifi logs. The problem still remained, and I got the same error (Notice the "connection failed" message, it hardly ever appeared to me): When I come back home with the repaired mac I noticed that I was no more able to connect to my home WiFi network, so I though that after repair I should do a clean installation of macOS Catalina 10.15.3, and so I did it (I completely formatted the hard drive and I reinstalled the system booting from the USB key) even resetting the NVRAM. They replaced the whole bottom case including the battery and trackpad I guess, since there is a Quality Program for the specific macbook model. ![]() Is there diagnostic and repair software for Connection?Ĭannot connect to WiFi after repair I have a MacBook Pro 13" Late-2016 and a few weeks ago I noticed that the keyboard was not more responsive and characters were duplicated while typing, so I brought the machine to the Genius Bar. Is this a virus? I am not currently running virus protection. Installed Mojave OS 10.14, problems with connection continue. Reset PRAM problems with connection continue. Reset SMC problems with connection continue. Ran Disc Utilities on all drives problems with connection continue. Using Time Machine I restored OS Drive to before errors began and the problem with connection continued. Ap store will not connect, Apple Music will not connect. Safari will connect for a moment then fails. Networking Preference shows that wifi is connected, Mail Accounts do not ask to be connect but show as disconnected. Mail on iMac will connect then fail or not connect at all. Wifi is working for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. Second, the real problem in connecting to internet. Having these BU files in Trash may or may not be the current problem but I would like to be rid of them. Tried to empty Trash via Terminal command “sudo rm -R” with same result. I am administrator for this iMac (27-inch, Late 2012) S# DCPLP08YFFMM Running OS Sierra. Time Machine BU file can not be emptied from trash, Error message is “do not have permission”. I also deleted many other BU files, FCP projects, 422 HD QT videos and others (I am a retired Video Editor with 25 years Mac experience) Lots of big. ![]() I now know there is a correct way to do this. My 4TB Time Machine was full and misbehaving so I deleted some BU files by selecting and moving to Trash.
